What Matters Most with Paul Samuel Dolman presents the 14th in a special series on voting, this time featuring psychiatrist and author Dr. Allen Frances.

Show notes

This is the fourteenth show in our series on the importance of voting with the great wisdom keeper, Dr. Alan Frances (find him on Twitter, read his latest book, and enjoy his essay on the Goldwater Rule and Donald Trump).

Why is it important to vote?

Does our vote even matter?

What is democracy?

THESE SEGMENTS ARE MUCH SHORTER THAN OUR USUAL PROGRAMS... SO THEY ARE EASILY CONSUMED!

Dr. Frances is a clinician, educator, researcher, and leading authority on psychiatric diagnosis. He chaired the DSM-IV Task Force, was a member of the Task Force that prepared DSM-III-R, and wrote the final version of the Personality Disorders section in DSM-III. The author of hundreds of papers and more than a dozen books, Dr. Frances is Professor Emeritus and former Chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Duke University. He blogs frequently on Huffington Post, Psychology Today, and Education Update.

His books have enlightened and illuminated me on several topics. Dr. Frances is also a tireless advocate for justice and democracy.
